At the place that I work I am not very social and it doesn’t really bother me but for some reason for this event peeked my interest. Mostly because I want to make a pie I had been concepting. Ashley from Fair Trade gave me a vegan chocolate mousse recipe that I was improving on and wanted to take it to the next level. This was my opportunity to excelerate it so with a few searches I found a chocolate cookie crust that was perfect. So Thursday I prepared and executed my pie. Even though the crust came out crumbly the pie was awesome. The mousse was dark and rich and I topped it with rice whip cream with a reversed cookie crumble Pi symbol.
I only recieved second place but I did get best taste so that is all that counted for me! Marc and his daughter’s strawberry rhubarb pie got first but it was well deserved. It was a fun event and can’t wait for next year!
